What You Should Know

If you are serious about joining our team, we want you to be aware of our commitment to excellence. We are committed to excellence with our patients and excellence with employees. We also demand excellence of our employees.

Our Commitment to You

At Grand View Health, we demonstrate our commitment to excellence and caring through our relationship with our employees. We recognize that our employees are our most valuable resource and the key to achieving our mission. We encourage, support and reward employee excellence.

At Grand View, employees are not "just a number." We care about our employees, their families and their career. From our generous benefits, our Employee Rx Wellness Program, our onsite child care center and our New View Onboarding Program, we are focused on employee success.

We are committed to the health and well-being of our community and our employees, and, as such, all Grand View Health campuses are smoke-free.

Your Commitment to Us

We believe that each employee plays a critical role in our achievement of our mission: leading our community to a healthier future. Employees are expected to understand and make decisions that align with the mission, vision and strategic plan of Grand View Health. As an employee, you will be entrusted to uphold the values of Grand View Health: Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence and Service.

Our employees strive to make patient interactions GRAND, acting with integrity, working safely and respecting the privacy of others.

Dress Code

We developed our dress code policy to enhance the patient experience and ensure the safety of patients and staff. Employees are expected to convey a professional image related to their positions. Certain items are prohibited to protect patients and staff.

Employees who have significant interaction with inpatients and those working at a Grand View Medical Practice follow a color-coded uniform policy. Patients can clearly identify an employee's role based upon the uniform/scrub color. Uniforms are also required for Post-Acute Care employees.

Universal Flu Program

At Grand View Health, we take the safety of our patients seriously. To help reduce the transmission of the deadly influenza virus, we implemented a mandatory Influenza Immunization policy for all members of the workforce. This policy applies to employees, volunteers, physicians, contractors and students. Each flu season, the vaccination must be received by November 30. The flu vaccine is offered free of charge to all members of the workforce. Individuals who start after the deadline, but prior to the end of the flu season (currently defined as March 31), must receive the flu vaccine prior to starting or provide documentation of vaccination.

Onboarding

All offers of employment are contingent upon the post-offer screening process. This process includes a drug screen and background clearances. Individuals must comply with this process in a timely fashion and have acceptable results as per organizational policy in order to be employed with Grand View Health.

We have designed our New View Onboarding Program to ensure a successful start at Grand View. Onboarding at Grand View consists of a hybrid orientation program. We have online core courses for you to learn at your pace and at your convenience. Within your first thirty days, you will also attend an interactive in-person program that focuses on building relationships with Grand View, your manager and your orientation cohort.
