Responsibilities

The Trauma Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Trauma Program, Trauma administration and the Trauma patient care service line in all phases of maturation. This position also supports the GVH Trauma Program Medical Director, Trauma Program Manager, Trauma surgeons and other Trauma administration staff as assigned. Administrative support is demonstrated through a variety of tasks, such as scheduling of meetings and conference calls, various types of document preparation, and collaborative interaction with all GVH departments and the Penn Trauma Network staff. This role requires compliance with HIPAA standards and maintenance of confidential and sensitive information.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma/GED and over 3 to 5 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role supporting a multi-staff department required.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated written communication skills required.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions required.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion required.
  • Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
  • Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems required.
