The Administrative Assistant of Hospital Medicine performs and coordinates administrative functions for the Hospital Medicine department, under the direction of the Medical Director. Coordinates broad range of physician activities, including, but not limited to, billing (with accurate CPT and ICD code assignment), chart reviews, payroll for all physicians, credentialing and certification-related activities, CMEs, call scheduling, orientation coordination for covering physicians, and scheduling of committee meetings/appointments for physicians. Answers phones, faxes and mail on a daily basis and communicates pertinent patient information to clinicians. Point of contact for the department. Coordinates patient admissions with specialty practices/offices, collects data for LAMA projects, and calls patient/family post-discharge.



  • High school diploma/GED required.
