The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with middle school, high school athletes and coaches and have at least two years of experience working as an Athletic Trainer.

Provide Athletic Training Services at local area schools with middle and high school student athletes under the direction of the team physician in accordance with state athletic training practice act. Foster and maintain strong relationships between sports medicine team, schools, youth organizations, athletes and providers.
  • Engage in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation of student athlete injuries.
  • Educate athletes, coaching staff and parents on various aspects of injury prevention, first aid and strength and conditioning.
  • Conduct taping and other pregame/pre-practice preparation.
  • Communicate confidentially with student athletes, parents, athletic directors, coaches and physicians regarding student athletes’ playing status and ability to return to competition or practice.
  • Oversee Assistant Athletic Trainer and Per Diem/Full-time Athletic Trainers.
  • Attend and provide medical response coverage for home and select away athletic events.
  • Refer athletes to appropriate physicians and specialists.
  • Perform administrative duties, including the maintenance of medical records for student athletes; establish an Emergency Action Plan for all sports and venues and management of inventory/ordering supplies.
  • Assist with pre-participation medical/orthopedic screenings.
  • Regularly use therapeutic modalities therapeutic/rehabilitation equipment, first aid supplies, standard athletic training supplies and possibly a golf cart/gator.


  • BS in healthcare-related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Pennsylvania Athletic Training License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • NATA BOC Certification.
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in Athletic Training.

  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office and internal computer systems.
