Under general direction, the Health Information Management Assistant is responsible for providing accurate and appropriate clerical and administrative support to the HIM Manager and HIM department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Medical Secretary or Health Information Management degree preferred.
Over 1 to 3 years of health information management or medical assistant experience required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to listen to others required.
Demonstrated written communication skills required.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
Excellent organizational skills required.
