The Marketing Outreach Specialist develops and manages multifaceted programs for community health education, special events and community outreach activities to support the organization’s strategic goals and to foster patient and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and arrangements for health screenings, quarterly blood drives, support groups and other educational programs held at Grand View locations.
  • Analyze marketing, health and community-related data on the classes and programs offered by Grand View to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the HealthView class catalog and calendar planning. Determine biannual line-up for all classes, instructors and room and facility reservations. Create content for the catalog and work with the marketing department to complete print production and website posting.
  • Write and edit promotional copy, inbound marketing, emails, website content and other materials, ensuring messaging and branding standards are consistent and maintained.
  • Lead process, vendor selection and implementation of the Community Health Needs Assessment and other reports requiring involvement from multiple entity and/or community stakeholders to demonstrate Grand View’s support of the community.
  • Manage sponsorship and outreach opportunities, as well as the outreach budget.
  • Plan and execute annual health fair and other events.
  • Partner with digital marketing specialist and vendors to ensure functionality of online class enrollment, service and credit card payment system.
  • Assists with marketing, public relations, media relations and other marketing tactics and programs as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Healthcare Management, Public Health, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of desktop publishing experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic photography, WordPress templates, social media, Internet, intranet, mobile applications, website analysis and search engine functioning required.
  • Editing and proofreading skills required.
