Under the general direction of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the incumbent is responsible for operating the monitoring equipment on the Progressive Care Unit and observing the adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients' cardiac rhythms on a continuous basis to rapidly detect and report dysrhythmias to ensure proper treatment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma/GED required.
Must complete a four-week, in-house training course and pass annual dysrhythmia exam.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
Excellent organizational skills required.
