Under the direction of the Emergency and Transport Services Operations Supervisor and the daily supervision of the Lead Paramedic, the Paramedic has responsibility for the delivery of pre-hospital patient care for neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with Act 37, EMS rules and regulations, regional protocols and hospital policies and procedures.



  • High school diploma/GED required.


  • Ability to listen to others required.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills required.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
  • Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
  • Functional knowledge of Bucks and Montgomery EMS protocols required.


  • Paramedic, licensed upon hire, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire required.
  • PHTLS certification within 1 year of hire preferred.
