Under the direction of the Emergency and Transport Services Operations Supervisor and the daily supervision of the Lead Paramedic, the EMT-Paramedic has responsibility for the delivery of pre-hospital patient care for neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in accord with Act 37, EMS rules and regulations, regional protocols and hospital policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to listen to others required.
Demonstrated written communication skills required.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
Functional knowledge of Bucks and Montgomery EMS protocols required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Paramedic, licensed upon hire, required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire required.
PHTLS certification within 1 year of hire preferred.
