Under the direction of the Emergency and Transport Services Operations Supervisor and the daily supervision of the Lead Paramedic, the Paramedic has responsibility for the delivery of pre-hospital patient care for neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in accord with Act 37, Title 28, Bucks and Montgomery protocols, and hospital policies and procedures.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/GED required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to listen to others required.
• Demonstrated written communication skills required.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
• Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
• Functional knowledge of Bucks and Montgomery EMS protocols required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Paramedic, licensed upon hire, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire preferred.
• PHTLS certification upon hire preferred.
• Valid driver's license upon hire required.
• Bucks and Montgomery County preceptor and instructor status upon hire preferred.
