The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist provides oversight of all aspects of equipment use impacting on patient irradiation in Radiation Oncology to minimize the likelihood of misadministration and to conform as much as possible with requirements of governmental rules and regulations and recommendations of authoritative professional groups. Demonstrates competent knowledge and skills to ensure the assessment of care is appropriate to the age of the patients served: adults and geriatrics.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in medical physics or related field.
Over 5 years to 7 years of clinical experience required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Diplomate of American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Therapy Physics, upon hire, required.
Radiation Therapy Physicist post-certification upon hire required.
