Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Operating Room Manager and direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist functions as a member of the intraoperative team. The Surgical Tech performs specific duties in preparation for surgical procedures and intraoperative care of the patient. Maintains competency of skill to care for patients of all ages.

This role is 80 hours biweekly. Shift is 11am-9:30pm, Monday-Thursday with on-call requirement of 2 days a week and 1 weekend.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Over 1 to 3 years of experience in hospital or surgery center in lieu of certification required.

• Demonstrated written communication skills required.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
• Effective interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
• Self-directed required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Surgical Tech, certified upon hire, preferred.
• BLS CPR required.
