Responsibilities

Grand View Health Children's Center is looking for an Assistant Teacher for the 12–18 months classroom. The Assistant Teacher assists the Head Teacher/Teacher with the preparation of materials and lessons for daily activities and supervises aides and volunteers in consultation with the manager. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for recordkeeping, adhering to all safety regulations, and communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED required.
30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field required; or
15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and over 1 to 3 years of experience related to the care and development of children required; or
Over 3 to 5 years of experience related experience with children required.
