The Capital Campaign Manager reports to the Director of Development and provides key support to the "New Capital Campaign" and Campaign Steering Committee. The Campaign Steering Committee is a Board committee charged with raising funds for the Grand View Health expansion project. Additional support is provided by the Grand View Health Foundation Development Office.

As Grand View Health and the Grand View Health Foundation undertake a major capital campaign beginning in 2020, the Campaign Manager will work with the director of development and the committee to carry out the following tasks

  • Designing and implementing a campaign management system to include:
    • Overseeing prospect research to help identify prospective major donors.
    • Being very adept in social marketing and technology skills to increase the campaign's reach.
    • Using Raiser's Edge, Research Point, Windfall and Employer Utilization databases to maximize support for the Campaign Steering Committee and its solicitors.
    • Coordinating ongoing stewardship of donors.
    • Entering into the RE database records of cultivation and solicitation.
    • Working with existing staff, ensuring accurate and timely gift entry and acknowledgments.
  • Designing and implementing a series of campaign cultivation activities, including events and communications with top prospects.
  • Managing campaign volunteers and executive management involvement in the campaign, including preparing them as cultivators and solicitors. Preparing prospect briefing sheets and follow-up materials for solicitors.
  • Attending Campaign Steering Committee meetings and assisting with training for the members.
  • Overseeing the development and production of campaign-related materials.
  • Working with Marketing Communications staff to develop campaign messaging and communications, including a campaign website.
  • Tracking the campaign budget and regularly calculating campaign status reports on income and expense.

Following the conclusion of the campaign, the Campaign Manager will remain in the role of Development Manager to support the ongoing role of the Development Office, especially augmenting our major donor program.

The Campaign Manager will work in concert with the entire development staff to coordinate campaign pledge payouts and maximize Grand View's relationship with major donors while continuing to manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.



  • 3-5 years in development work and experience in major gift fundraising required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Master's degree or CFRE preferred.
  • Expertise in optimizing social media is critical.
  • Knowledge of the Raiser's Edge software is a plus.
