Responsibilities
As directed by the Invasive Cardiologist and Department Manager, the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides direct patient care, including diagnostic and/or therapeutic invasive procedures. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist may provide other support services, dictated by patient needs, as a delivery team member.
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for patients served and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist practices within the scope of licensure and adheres to standards set forth by Grand View Health policies and procedures.
Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Every third week call beginning Monday at 3:30pm until the following Monday at 7:00am (includes the weekend). Response time of 30 minutes required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Vocational diploma from an AMA-approved radiologic technology or cardiovascular science program (RCIS) required.
- Over 6 months of experience in interventional radiology preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- RCIS certification from CCI or R.T.(R) registration from ARRT upon hire required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire required.
- Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course within 60 days of hire required.
