Clinical Coordinator, Wound Care
Full Time, Days - Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, no holidays, no weekends

Responsibilities
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center, including, but not limited to, the use of organizational skills; leadership; and planning, implementing, evaluating and providing patient care. The Clinical Coordinator will perform these tasks through the use of hospital and nursing standards. The Clinical Coordinator's functions are as follows:
Essential Functions Include:

Providing case management to a group of patients, providing specific assessments according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management.

Organizing and prioritizing clinical responsibilities. Providing direct supervisor to clinical staff.

Collaborating with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center physicians, Program Director and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.

Consistently looking at current processes and procedures, and identifying and implementing areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, JCAHO, DOH, hospital and DCS requirements.

Engaging in staff development, providing general in-services and individual instruction and orientation. Providing staff recognition through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.

Collaborating with Program Director in coordination of the Center's objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective.

The Clinical Coordinator is accountable for healing outcomes in the Wound Center, which includes clinical practices and patient satisfaction leading to the success of the Wound Care Center.

Attending 40-hour, accredited intro to Wound Management and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy course in order to function as Hyperbaric Chamber Operator in the event coverage is needed. Maintaining all competencies required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Nursing.

RN license required upon hire.

BSN preferred.

1-3 years in lead or management role; experience preferred in wound care.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Wound care certification preferred.

BLS required upon hire.
