Full Time, Evenings - Rotating Days, 3pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities

The Crisis Worker will provide crisis support, coping, safety planning and intervention to crisis patients who present within the Emergency Department. The Crisis Worker provides emergency mental health assessments to patients across the lifespan who are experiencing a crisis. Able to complete rapid and effective assessments to recommend appropriate treatment disposition. Along with the care team, the Crisis Worker uses clinical judgment to develop care plan for appropriate placement and/or resources. Plans for, obtains approvals and facilitates placement as needed.


Schedule: Full Time, rotating days, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in human services field, such as Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Gerontology, Criminal Justice, Nursing or Counseling and over 6 months to 1 year experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services required.
  • Knowledge of mental health laws, community resources, crisis intervention techniques, assessment and therapeutic skills, and communication skills to interface with both internal and external resources required.
