EKG Tech I
Per Diem, Variable - Non-Committed - Per diem, 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-9:30pm, depending on department needs. 4 shifts in 6-week period, including one weekend shift.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Department Manager, the EKG Tech I is responsible for obtaining and processing EKGs on infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the following areas: Cardiology, DEM, PACU, ICU, MSSS, Medical/Surgical units and any other physician-ordered area. The EKG Tech is also responsible for correctly applying Holter monitoring devices on all age groups.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED and over 6 months to 1 year of overall knowledge of EKG techniques required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 2 weeks of hire required.
