The Human Resources Generalist (Employee Relations), under the direction of the HR Manager, is responsible for supporting all aspects of employee relations, retention and engagement. This includes effectively assessing and recommending to leaders and the HR Manager appropriate solutions and outcomes for resolving staff employment concerns, complaints or questions.
The Human Resources Generalist (Employee Relations) is responsible for managing, advising and resolving employee relations cases, which includes conducting confidential and sensitive investigations, advising managers/supervisors on performance improvement plans, positive conflict management, advising resolution across all levels in the organization, and supporting a culture of diversity and inclusion. The Human Resources Generalist (Employee Relations) drives the completion of meaningful performance management assessments and dialogue.
Grand View Health's new six-story, 190,000-square-foot pavillion is slated to open in July 2023 and will feature 52 new patient rooms, new operating rooms and our Level II Trauma Center. Join our HR team and be part of the workforce planning and transition for this exciting expansion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field of study and over 2 years of experience in the human resources field required.
Two years of progressive proven HR experience with a strong emphasis in employee relations and training development experience.
Expertise in handling complex employee relations issues, which include defusing situations, conduct investigations and recommendations.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and ability to build positive work relationships with various levels within the organization.
The ability to maintain confidentially and handle sensitive situation with impeccable judgment and discretion is critical. Ability to establish trust and creditability.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), digital file sharing and project management systems.
PHR and/or SHRM-CP upon hire preferred.
