Lactation Consultant
Part Time, Days - Flexible schedule, 4- and 6-hour shifts

Responsibilities

The Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing safe, family-centered patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating lactation plans for the breastfeeding/chest-feeding dyad, as well as for the pumping parent. The Lactation Consultant is fully collaborative with the patient, patient's family and significant others. The Lactation Consultant promotes, protects and supports breastfeeding while recognizing that breastfeeding is an individual decision.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and over 1 to 3 years of experience in maternal-child health nursing preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Lactation Consultant – IBCLC-certified, upon hire, required.
