Responsibilities

The Lead Central Service Technician is responsible for the supervision of operations during the process of reprocessing of all sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments and equipment for surgery and other hospital units. The Lead Central Service Technician is responsible for manual cleaning and decontamination, operating the mechanical washers and sonic units, testing autoclaves for efficiency and maintaining compliant records. He/she will be in charge of the recall process as needed. As a certified lead technician, the lead technician will also assist in the education, training and evaluation process of other staff (e.g., new hires) with respect to quality assurance, performance improvement and departmental compliance.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, every 4th weekend
