Responsibilities

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The Nuclear Medicine Tech demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served. Graduate of an AMA-approved nuclear medicine program. Acceptable certifications include ARRT and CNMT. Competent to perform multiple types of nuclear imaging procedures involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients. Good technical and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians. Ability to triage quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Vocational diploma from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and over 6 months to 1 year of nuclear medicine experience required.
  • Associate's degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and over 1 to 3 years of experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification upon hire required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
