The Joint Center Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the Joint Replacement Center and adheres to the policies and procedures of Grand View Health, ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, and The National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses.

Essential Functions:
  • Communicates and collaborates with nursing personnel, medical staff, hospital management, patients and families to facilitate patient care for joint replacement patients.
  • Maintains contact with joint replacement patients and their families before, during and after their hospital stay to provide them with the necessary information to enable them to participate in patient care planning.
  • Conducts pre-admission interview with each scheduled joint replacement admission to begin the discharge planning process.
  • Coordinates and monitors the Joint Replacement Center Program, identifying areas that require improvement and takes appropriate action.
  • Evaluates patient satisfaction and perceptions of quality of care, and makes changes as appropriate.
  • Tracks Joint Center quality measures for The Joint Commission.
  • Reviews and submits quarterly data and review to third-party data review agency.


  • Associate's segree in Nursing and over 3 to 5 years of adult nursing experience required.
  • Over 1 to 3 years of hospital-based case management or discharge planning experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Registered Nurse in PA – licensed.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
  • Orthopaedic Nurses Certification (ONC), company-provided within 1 year of hire.
