The Physician Liaison is responsible for cultivating the relationship between Grand View Health and non-GVH-employed providers in the health system's primary and secondary service areas. Through a variety of tactics, the liaison will implement strategy to create awareness and preference for services offered by Grand View and its providers.
The physician liaison functions as a boots-on-the-ground communicator and facilitator. Working with physicians and office staff, the liaison will ensure problems are identified and addressed in a timely and professional manner. Emotional intelligence, strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate in a thoughtful, legal and clinically sound manner are essential. This individual will assist internal customers (nurses, physicians, case managers, service line directors and support staff) in identifying and removing obstacles to patient care or the referral process. Individual should exercise transparency in communicating issues, developing strategic alliances and regular reporting of initiatives and progress.
