Responsibilities
Under the general direction and guidelines of Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) standing orders, standards established through the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania, and Grand View Hospital policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Essential Functions:

Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.

Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments.

Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.

Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short stay to trauma.

Administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the state of practice.
Our Emergency Department has 30 beds plus 3 trauma bays. We see patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric of all medical concerns, including STEMIs and acute stroke and trauma patients, as well as patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts in a pay period, 7:00pm–7:00am, every third weekend and every other holiday.
