The Respiratory Therapist supplies approved Respiratory Care services to Grand View Health inpatients and outpatients of all ages and demographics.
As a Respiratory Therapist at Grand View Health, you will be working in the ER for emergency treatments, STAT blood gases, initiating BiPap and aiding in one of three Trauma bays, as well as staffing the Pediatric and Labor and Delivery floors. The pediatric unit is staffed 24/7 by CHOP physicians.
Essential Functions of the Respiratory Therapist:

Performs ventilator management.

Maintains patient Respiratory Care charting according to medical record guidelines to ensure complete record of care delivered.

Educates patients and their families about their conditions and teaches proper disease management techniques.

Performs arterial blood gas draws and analyses.

Inserts and monitors A-lines.

Supports compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols and procedures of the position, department and applicable professional standards.

Promotes culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation and prevention.

Responds to rapid responses and codes.
Grand View Health is a community, non-profit, Level 2 Trauma Center with 168 licensed beds in the heart of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts every two weeks, 7:00pm-7:30am and every other weekend
