Responsibilities
Under the overall direction of the PM&R Manager, the Speech Therapist examines and evaluates patients and administers speech pathology interventions to patients with speech, voice, language, communication, cognitive and swallowing impairments. The Speech Therapist works in collaboration with the referring provider. The Speech Therapist demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for and manage primarily adult and geriatric-age patients in acute care, outpatient or acute inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Schedule: 2 weekend days a month; weekday availability a plus.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Over 1 to 3 years of experience required.
- Videofluoroscopy preferred.
