Responsibilities
The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for supporting the OR scheduling needs of the surgeons as deemed appropriate and necessary. The Surgical Scheduler will interact with the office staff, operating room personnel and patients to aid patients in the OR scheduling process. The Surgical Scheduler may also be asked to support the Office Manager in an administrative capacity as needed, answering telephones and assisting in the administrative functions of the practice.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma/GED and over 3 to 5 years of office experience required.
- Over 1 to 3 years of hospital/medical experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.
- Service-oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills.
