In collaboration with Trauma Program Medical Director and Grand View Health executive leadership, the Trauma Program Manager serves as the hospital-based nurse leader for the development and maintenance of clinical operations, performance improvement program, educational program and key initiatives related to Trauma, PTSF accreditation and other standards that affect all functions of the Trauma Center. The Trauma Program Manager will possess solid leadership, team-building and communication skills to create a culture where staff are motivated to help the organization achieve its goals.
Provides support for the care of the injured, external/internal trauma system and Trauma Center as the core areas of focus.
Supervises the Performance Improvement Coordinator, Trauma Registry staff and Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Participates in community and national trauma care system initiatives, and participates in consultant and liaison activities as requested.
Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives are required.
Planning and prioritizing work with proper delegation of tasks is critical to anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Effectively building formal and informal relationships inside and outside of the organization is essential to the success of the program.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Four or more years of recent clinical or managerial experience in critical care, ED or trauma required.
TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
