Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant, working for the Upper Bucks Orthopedics department, shall deliver comprehensive patient care for this designated patient population throughout the care continuum. The Physician Assistant will function as a clinical expert for this population and will work in collaboration with the orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists and physiatrists to offer the best orthopedic care for its patient population. The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments and coordinate patient management autonomously with physician collaboration and supervision as appropriate and in accordance with hospital policies and Pennsylvania state legislation. The Physician Assistant's scope of practice includes the following elements: direct patient care, medical and procedural intervention, operative first assistance, education and performance and quality improvement.

Upper Bucks Orthopedics is an independent group that works exclusively at Grand View Health. This position will not be employed directly by Grand View Hospital but will be credentialed on the medical staff and work within the hospital.
