Under the direction of the Director of Case Management, the Case Management Technician provides technical and administrative support to the Case Management Department. The Case Management Technician will demonstrate competent knowledge and skills to interface with Case Managers and others in the organization, physician offices, vendors and insurance companies to maximize department and hospital goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED.
Experience: 2 years in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of heathcare insurance, NaviNet and precertification of healthcare services is also preferred.
Skills required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc), phone management, time management, detail-oriented, patient interaction, multitasking, front office management for patients and vendors, scheduling appointments via Microsoft Office, ability to work well as a team, and ability to interact professionally with all hospital departments, insurance companies, patients and families required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
Demonstrated written communication skills required.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills required.
Effective interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills required.
