Clinical Analyst - Information Services Applications
Full Time, Days - 8:30am-5pm with on-call rotation

Responsibilities
The Clinical Analyst will be responsible for developing and installing software used in a clinical setting (MEDITECH Expanse), training medical staff on how to use information systems correctly, analyzing clinical data, identifying areas for improvement, designing processes for them and providing system upgrades and maintenance.Essential Functions:
- Designs, develops and installs computer systems, databases and software to store clinical data.
- Actively facilitates communication with assigned departments to support system adoption and best practice.
- Provides in-service and other forms of continuing education of software and hardware to users.
- Builds information systems consistent with IT standards and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Trains hospital and medical staff on how to use computer systems and capture data correctly for future analysis.
- Coordinates and installs new software applications with user departments.
- Shares on-call duties with other individuals within Information Services.
- Analyzes problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action.
- Develops clear and concise documentation and instruction manuals.
- Triages incidents and requests within the MEDITECH system to resolution.
- Identifies system patches, releases and other maintenance required activities so that systems are current, maintained and supported.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Associate's degree in Clinical, Business or Computer Sciences, or related field, and over 1 to 3 years of related field and work experience required.
- Over 5 to 7 years of equivalent work experience required.
- Over 3 to 5 years of experience in healthcare and applications support preferred.
- Experience in financial and clinical applications support preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of MEDITECH (clinical and financial) and NPR reporting beneficial.
