The Department Secretary shows competency of all aspects of day-to-day office functioning in hospice. Acts as a liaison between patient/family, hospital personnel and staff. Supports all hospice staff and performs accounts payable duties as assigned. Has ability to schedule patients using computer software and performs intake and medical records tasks as assigned. Incumbent answers phones and processes confidential information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED required.
Over 6 months to 1 year of secretarial duties within the department required.
Over 6 months to 1 year of computer input, Windows and Excel required.
A/P experience preferred.
