Under the auspices of the Grand View Hospital Cancer Program and in collaboration with the Cancer Committee and the Breast Program Leadership, the Nurse Practitioner provides leadership and administrative oversight of the Comprehensive Cancer Genetics, Benign Breast and Survivorship programs. The scope of responsibility also includes the clinical management of patients referred for genetic counseling services.

  • Serve as the Genetic, Benign Breast and Survivorship Program Coordinator.
  • Serve as the key liaison between departments, private physician practices and all stakeholders directly involved with the development, growth and evolution of the Genetics and Survivorship programs.
  • Serves as a physician extender for outpatient population at GVH with regard to the direct provision of genetic counseling services and survivorship care.
  • Interpretation of family and medical histories to assess the chance of disease occurrence.
  • Education about inheritance, discussion, testing, interpretation of test results, management, prevention, resources and facilitation of appropriate referrals.
  • Coordination and clinical follow-up of screening recommendations for high-risk patients.
  • Other administrative and clinical duties as assigned.


  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Current state of PA Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current state of PA Nurse Practitioner license required.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Completion of an introduction to genetic counseling and testing program preferred.
  • Excellent clinical management skills.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical oncology nursing experience preferred.
