Responsibilities

The Reflexologist, Home Hospice will provide reflexology therapy based on orders provided by the Hospice staff. Reflexology therapy will be determined by the patient's physical, emotional and social assessment as it relates to the end of their disease process. The reflexologist will visit patients to provide reflexology therapy when ordered, which will be incorporated into the patient's plan of care. Competent reflexology skill and ability will be demonstrated by the Reflexologist.

Essential Functions:

• Conducts initial assessment to determine needs of the patient.
• Performs reflexology therapy according to the needs of the patient.
• Provides ongoing support to patients and family as they adjust to terminal illness and end of life.
• Documents each session, providing summary of interventions, therapy provided and response to the therapy.
