Responsibilities

Under general direction, the Echo Tech will operate the echocardiology lab in the Cardiology Department, obtaining ordered studies, doing preliminary reading and processing reports and paperwork. The Cardiac Sonographer will ensure that assessment and care are appropriate to the age of patients served: adolescents, adults and geriatrics. This position is per diem.

Schedule: Occasional Saturdays
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Vocational diploma graduate of an accredited cardiovascular training program and over 1 to 3 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer – certified or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – certified, upon hire, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 weeks of hire preferred.
