Responsibilities

Under general direction of the Director of Quality, the Clinical Quality Coordinator will have a strong background and knowledge of all core measures and quality indicators. The Clinical Quality Coordinator will be responsible for all core measures and quality indicators, including patient safety indicators, hospital-acquired infections, Leapfrog, complications, and mortalities, to ensure the accuracy of publicly reported clinical information.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports clinical information completed through intensive chart analysis, interdisciplinary collaboration and process improvement.
  • Quality Improvement Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to, daily case review/monitoring, chart review, data management, process improvement and education for the Quality team and hospital staff.
  • Works in collaboration with the physician champions, medical staff and hospital leadership to identify quality initiatives, metrics and projects.
     

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and over 3 to 5 years of significant relevant experience in a healthcare setting or related environment required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, set and accomplish objectives in a timely manner.
  • Strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills leading to ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with computer programs for statistics and data display.
  • Ability to work independently within established parameters.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • CPHQ upon hire preferred.
