Customer Service Representative, Grand View Medical Company
Full Time, Days, 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Grand View Health is a member of the Penn Cancer Network, an affiliate of Penn Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery, and an affiliate of the Penn Trauma Network, partnered with Penn Medicine to provide advanced neurological services, including tele-stroke and tele-neurology care.


Under general direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative assists with billing functions, insurance verification and customer service functions. The essential functions of the Customer Service Rep are:

Essential Functions:
  • Answers telephone and performs clerical duties as needed. Possesses pleasant telephone manner. Assists customers in the showroom.
  • Enters data into computer data system and retrieves material already in the system. Knows and understands software programs.
  • Works with accounts receivable to resolve payment issues.
  • Pre-certifies equipment through calls to insurance companies. Calls client to keep him/her apprised of status of payment. Validates information to claims representative in order to secure coverage.
  • Organizes, maintains and updates billing files and customer service records in an accurate manner to provide for timely and efficient retrieval.
  • Ensures all paperwork is completed for each transaction.
  • Knowledgeable on equipment and products and remains current with new equipment and product knowledge.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm


  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.
