Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures Technician
Part Time, Days, Benefits-Eligible - 3 days/week, 7.5 hours/day, varied hours. Call & holiday rotation required. Will rotate in general & IR.

Responsibilities

The Special Procedures Technician performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The Special Procedures Technician demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served. Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program. The Special Procedures Technician must be competent to perform multiple types of imaging, including fluoro and X-ray, involving emergency room patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients. High familiarity with all interventional procedures, including ultrasound and CAT scan-guided studies. Good technical and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians. Ability to triage quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Vocational diploma from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
  • Over 6 months to 1 year in the interventional field required.
  • Associate's degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and over 1 to 3 years of experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Radiological Technologist, certified upon hire, required.
