Responsibilities

Grand View Health is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our program part-time. The Interventional Radiology Tech performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The Interventional Radiology Tech must be competent to perform multiple types of imaging, including fluoro and X-ray, involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients.
  • Demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served.
  • High familiarity with all interventional procedures, including ultrasound and CAT scan-guided studies.
  • Good technical and communication skills required.
  • The Special Procedures Tech must have the ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians.
  • Ability to triage quickly in a fast-paced work environment.

Schedule: Three 7.5-hour shifts, Monday–Friday. Varied start times between 7:00am and 9:00am. On-call is every 3rd week plus weekend. Will rotate in both general Radiology and Interventional Radiology.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Vocational diploma from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and over 6 months to 1 year in the interventional field required.
  • Associate's degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and over 1 to 3 years of experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Radiological Technologist, certified upon hire, required.
