Under general direction, the Patient Transporter assists infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients from one area of the hospital to another in a safe and efficient manner. The Patient Transporter assists in the collection, cleaning and routine maintenance of specific equipment. The Patient Transporter ensures that departments within the hospital have supplies and equipment needed by reallocating as requested and returning equipment to its department of origin. The Patient Transporter assists with patient care departmental needs to ensure that environment is kept neat and orderly, hallways are clear of supplies and equipment, and evironment is in compliance with regulatory agencies' guidelines.
