Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse, RN in Hospice utilizes the nursing process to determine initial and ongoing needs of Hospice patient, provides primary nursing care and coordinates care provided by other team members. The Registered Nurse, RN understands and employs professional nursing skills consistent with standards of the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania and Hospice policies and procedures. Demonstrates competent knowledge and skills to ensure care is appropriate to patients served: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
The Hospice care is provided in the community surrounding Grand View Health, and we are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to become part of the interdisciplinary team.
Shift Commitment: 6 shifts/month, every fourth weekend Saturday/Sunday rotation. Preference is late morning to early evening availability.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma in Nursing and 1 year in acute care nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Computerized charting experience preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
- Registered Nurse in PA – licensed, upon hire, required.
- RN Hospice & Palliative Care certification upon hire preferred.
