The Registered Nurse, RN, Hospital Float Team is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patients, working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse practices professional nursing by using the nursing process and adheres to standards set forth in the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania and Grand View Health policies and procedures.

The Registered Nurse, RN, Hospital Float team functions independently to provide safe, quality and clinically competent care. The Registered Nurse, RN, Hospital Float Team is assigned to various units within Grand View Health based on the patient census and the skills of the RN. The Float Team nurses may be assigned to the ICU, Medical/Surgical/Oncology, Progressive Care or the Emergency Department, depending on need after proper training and competencies.

An ability to work efficiently and effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting-edge patient care, while also contributing to the positive and collaborative team environment at Grand View Health, is a must.
