Responsibilities

Under supervision and direction of the Occupational Therapy Supervisor, the inpatient Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to inpatients referred for such services. The Occupational Therapist demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for and manage primarily adolescent, adult and geriatric-age patients in an acute care or acute inpatient rehabilitation setting.

The Occupational Therapist's responsibilities include evaluating and implementing treatment for a wide range of diagnoses, including orthopedics, neurologic, metabolic, surgical and trauma patients, to name a few. This position also may include occasional supervision of COTAs and the opportunity to supervise students.
